Actually, it's pay-what-you-can, and I'm sure they'd appreciate a couple of bucks their way, but in essence, you can download The Guest Bedroom's brand-new EP, Hunter, for free if you'd like.

I've already listened to it twice today, and if I don't go back to bed because of this ridiculous tooth ache, I'll listen to it some more. It's fun, clear, exquisite, smart and - dare I say - a bit poppy, in the British sense of well-constructed, listenable music - not boy-band material.

Sure, The Guest Bedroom were Video Of The Week a month and a half ago, but they're staying true to their word of trying to release a video for each new song on their upcoming EP/LP, and their songs rock.

This time, video artist Ryan Mounsey concocted a fairy tale with kings and wizards (and Toronto mayor Rob Ford), animation and analog images. Oh, and good music. Yeah.

I've been ''online friends'' with The Guest Bedroom's Sandi Falconer - singer and guitarist of the band, but also lead mistress in design/screenprinting powerhouse Deadweight - for so long I can't even count the years anymore, yet I think I had never featured any of her work anywhere. Not even her blog.

That changes today. The hard-rocking, as-prog-as-they-are-punk Toronto quartet have been at it for a while, with many EPs and tracks on compilations for issues that are dear to their hearts, including taking a political stance against the way Toronto has been voting in 2008.

They shot a video for the lead-off song from their upcoming EP and I happen to really, really like it, more than any other video this week, so, well...
