I had a whole other Video Of The Week all written and done, but I just couldn't let this story pass, and so I'll save it for later and do this one instead...
After refusing Susan Boyle sing his (amazing) song Perfect Day on American Idol, Lou Reed decided to ask for forgiveness by going all the way to Scotland to direct her video for the song.
Sure, her version is pompous and over-arranged, as most pop songs from 'voice' singers are, but she doesn't take away from the beautiful songwriting at all. And the landscapes are breathtaking.
