Lou Canon (whose government name is Leanne Greyerbiehl) is a Canadian former elementary school teacher and current sister-in-law to songwriter extraordinaire Hayden; it was he who encouraged her to pursue music as more than a pastime, offering his home studio as the venue to record her self-titled 2011 debut album, which he also released on his own Hardwood Records. She also appears on his 2013 release Us Alone.
She released her sophomore effort last April, titled Suspicious, and she releases the second video for it today, called Fever, directed by Sammy Rawal and Vanessa Heins with cinematography by Vancouver-based image-shaper Carl Elster:
Oh, perhaps I should have mentioned that the video succeeds in making wallpaper, milk and skinny white women seem creepy.

Bread Face
Via The New York Times (via BuzzFeed, Vice and Instagram...) comes Bread Face, a woman who, well, uh, likes to smash her face into bread.
Is it art? Is it comedy? Is it just a weird fucking fetish? Is it just that it feels good?
If you can, look up the one where she does it over a super-salty pretzel from Brookly hipster spot Black Forest, over Jennifer Paige's 1998 pop hit Crush... as much as I love pretzels, I'm just worried she'll get salt in her eye(s).

Harvard's Human-Bound Books
I know a lady who's obsessed with Harvard University; she dreams of attending it, she used to go there to read on her breaks from Boston U and attend their parties; I guess it's the Good Will Hunting thing.
But when it isn't about their fraternities and secret societies (Skull And Bones is my favourite one to read about, though they're Yale-based), or how athletes get a pass in most classes because they're on scholarships, it's the fact that since it was founded in 1636, it's got quite a few fucked up things happen there over the years.
Today's fun tidbit: its library has at least three books bound by human flesh and skin. Yay!

Say What?
You've heard about growing ears on rats' backs, right?
How about on human forearms? How about on human forearms for no one's actual benefit but as an arts/science experiment to eventually hook the thing online and have everyone on the planet hear what's going on in his life?
Well, that's what a Perth, Australia artist has in mind for the one growing on his fucking arm.
You don't like it? Grow your own and do whatever you want with yours.
Yep, the miracles of modern science.

Gold Lion
I thought I was among the only households with a pet lion:
Turns out some Hollywood types have the full-size versions of them in their homes:
That's the home actress Melanie Griffith grew up in, with mother (actress) Tippi Hedren and father (director) Noel Marshall, and lion Neil, as the family was ''researching'' living with large cats.

Video Of The Week: Red Mass
Red Mass is a Montréal collective with a 10-person core but that encompasses over 60 contributors thus far from members of over 200 bands. It was started by Roy ''Choyce'' Vucino in 2008, so you can say he's its leader and figurehead.
Their live shows are spectacular and eclectic, like a modern-day Mr. Bungle with the showmanship and spirit of King Khan & The Shrines, who they will be touring with, incidentally, through the end of June all across North America (tour dates here).
The Hart-directed video matches the band, moody at first, setting a tone if not the tone, then bursting in pure rock energy just when it could have just as well ended. Mac De Marco and HannahLIsDead sing on the track, titled Sharp.

If You Can't Steal Their Hearts...
Do you remember this guy, who had a thing for stealing women's underwear as they were out to dry?
Well, if you forget his added bonus of taking pictures of himself wearing them and depositing them on the porches of his (now-doubly) victims, he had nothing on this guy, who pleaded guilty to stealing 850 pairs of undies at the Victoria's Secret store:
Daniel Espinoa, 18, and a 17-year-old accomplice were arrested after their third theft, with a total retail value of over $15,000 (but possibly manufacturing value under a grand, because low-paid workers in third-world countries, yada-yada-yada).
The poor sap, now an adult, is looking at, uh, hard time while his accomplice will likely, uh, get off easily.

Scent Of A Woman
There's weird, then there's just plain bizarre.
First, watch this hilarious video, then I'll explain the premise:
Le premier parfum à l'odeur de vagin : Vulva by Spi0n
So, their website claims:
Or if you want ta make your woman uselessly jealous. Of ride on public transit pretending to be a womanizer in the hopes that other females might be attracted to ''the stench of your success''.
It's only $33 a vial, or 3-for-$85. If it does, indeed, carry actual ladies' juices, collected a drop at a time, then it's well worth it. They also offer a vial+panty pack ($91) if you want to heighten your level of pretend to pretentious new heights...

So, their website claims:
VULVA Original is not a perfume but the real erotic scent of a woman.Which they put in a glass vial.
This long lasting scent will awaken the erotic fantasy that lay deep in your mind.
With a quick swipe of the roll-on applicator your fantasies will be indulged with not only the memories of an exotic, aroused woman, but also her musky vaginal scent. Only a small drop is needed to make it last for hours...Smell like post-sex for hours, without having had sex. It's win-win, really, if you can't get anything else.

Lost Then Found: Police Need Your Help
Ontario Provincial Police need your help!
They feel there may be a link to the theft of garden gnomes in the past year to the 56 that were found at a water treatment plant in Parry Sound...
Small-town problems...
And yet:
They feel there may be a link to the theft of garden gnomes in the past year to the 56 that were found at a water treatment plant in Parry Sound...
Small-town problems...
And yet:
As the investigation continues, police are seeking the public’s assistance to find the person(s) responsible. Anyone with information relating to these gnomes is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.These now-victimless crimes (assuming these are the stolen gnomes now found) are in need of some good ol' fashioned Justice. Hopefully there'll also be a telethon.
Party Like It's 1986
One man grew tired of his children rather than have human contacts and decided he'd punish his whole entourage for it - by reverting his family back to the year he and his girlfriend were born, 1986.
Gone are the iPhones, iPads, Blu-rays, cell phones, GPS devices, the internet... back are the old Nintendo Entertainment System (and the original Super Mario Bros. game), encyclopedias, paper maps, playing outside...
Blair McMillan even lost his job for not having a cell phone and instead preferring one-on-one interactions. Though he probably would also have lost it when his client would have seen his fucking mullet and mustache.
In the name of all that is sacred, I do hope this one-year experiment doesn't go any further. Imagine his poor girlfriend, if they decide to continue living like this for, say, 5 more years, then splits up with him... imagine how lost she'll be in all the ever-evolving technology.
If a catastrophic event occurs and all technology is rendered useless, and everyone has to revert to hunting and gathering, then, fine, we're all on the same playing field. But purposely foregoing to accept the future in a feeble attempt to get in touch with your roots only works a little bit, and only in organized circles - like the Amish. Or the homeless. Past a certain point, it just becomes purposely holding up and restraining your loved ones' progress. It's kidnapping.
I kid, I kid...

And In The Weird Crime Section
Montréal police are looking for an unusual type of criminal these days... a man who, uh, specializes in the theft of women's underwear.
He steals them when they're hanging to dry and, more often than not, goes back to the crime scene and deposits an envelope containing explicit pictures of him and the stolen lingerie. He seems to have a preference for women in their fifties or sixties - or takes what he can get in his comfort zone, comprised of Jeanne-Mance, Saint-Urbain, Legendre and the Metropolitan.
He has that kind of familiar face, like one of my friends (sorry, Kevin), or one of those cheesy French-language comedians, be it Billy Tellier or another of his generation that I can never differentiate either by their looks or their content. I guess if you have any information, you could call the cops at 514-393-1133...

Amusement Cube
It's called ''Once'', and was made by the arts collective known as The Glue Society. It is currently on display in Denmark, at the Sculpture by the Sea, Aarhus festival...
It is made of the entire remains of a former amusement park, crushed into a 13-foot cube.

The AIDS And The Bees
In the future, you might be able to tell your kids the tale ''about the AIDS and the bees''... turns out bee venom could kill AIDS cells.
Too bad their population is decimated...
I like how we humans keep fucking with nature and only realize we've made a mistake when it's on the verge of becoming critical.

Cannibal Hall & Oates
Hall and Oates got into a bloody confrontation that ended with Hall getting bit in the face and Oates landing in jail, according to police. No, no that Hall & Oates - two Ohio neighbours, Roger Oates and Scott Hall.

Still, it's a weird story. And gives a whole new meaning to Maneater.

Is That A Dildo?
As Lars Eller scored the third of his four goals last night, the ice was littered with the traditional hats and caps to celebrate his hat trick...
But other items were also thrown onto the ice...
Keep an eye on the red thing...
Then again, that's nothing compared to the Swedish Dildo Shower of 2008...

What The Puck?
Jack Edwards, NESN's play-by-play man, made some bizarre remarks after last night's Game 7 that saw the Boston Bruins
eliminate the Montréal Canadiens
:
Weirder still, it wasn't the first time Edwards called the Habs ''royalty'' and equated the Bruins to the Bosotn Tea Party:

The Top 10 Hockey Mascots
According to The Hockey News, here are the 10 best mascots in the sport.
Weird to see Youppi! getting such respect. Cool, but weird.
Also: Wild Wing: no, absolutely not, what an ugly piece of trash. And Carlton the Bear looks like he's asking for a bullet in the brain.
